Summer Holiday Japanese Exchange program

Experience Japanese culture and enjoy fun excursions with your Japanese buddy!

Our summer holiday cultural exchange program provides students with an opportunity to host a Japanese student and experience parts of the Japanese culture they can’t learn in the classroom! Students participate in Japanese cultural workshops in the morning with a qualified Japanese Art teacher and then join their Japanese host student on excursions in the afternoon.

Testimonials

TEACHERS

Dear Jason,

Thank you so much for the wonderful Japanese camp. Your tireless work is greatly appreciated by us all. I was very impressed with the students willingness to communicate in Japanese. They said this was such a valuable experience that forced them to use the language outside of the classroom. The camp content was great.

Kind regards,

Atsuko Ishigami-Sims

Hi Jason,

Just wanted to thank you for the opportunity for our students to attend a Japanese camp in Bunbury. The kids all had a fantastic time and have come back to class with renewed enthusiasm and confidence.

I hope that we can make such a great experience a regular event in our region.

Regards

This experience was a great chance for me to learn more about Japanese culture and Art, thank you so much. I also loved having Yasuka stay with me.

It was very interesting. It was my first time seeing a tea ceremony and a martial arts presentation and I hope I will never forgot these memories.

I had a very educational and exciting time. I really enjoyed immersing myself in another culture. I had a lot of fun and enjoyed the games, challenges and meeting people that have come from Japan and speaking Japanese with them. Thank you.

PARENTS

Hi Jason,

Again we had a great time being involved with Japanese host program, Kousuke was a wonderful child and it was a pleasure to have him in our home.  The Japanese children are wonderful.

We have truly enjoyed the experience and want to say thank you.

Kindest regards,

Dear Jason,

We are all already missing Nichika. she was such a lovely girl that fitted in perfectly with our kids. Friendships have definitely been made and tears were shed at the goodbye. Once again, thank you for this lovely opportunity to host a student. The whole tour was very well organised and as a host family we felt well looked after. The information booklet was a great help and the knowledge that there was always someone available to speak to (for both the student as well as ourselves was great). Thank you again for helping establish this great new friendship.
